Dan’s research in the Berman lab involves whole and phosphoproteome analysis of cell lines representative of myeloid leukemia of Down Syndrome (ML-DS) in an effort to identify potential microenvironmental mediators of disease and potential targets for the treatment of refractory disease. The project involves collaboration with the Proteomics CORE at Dalhousie and the Medical Biophysics Department at the University of Toronto.  Dan is a local student from Halifax and has participated in research both at Dalhousie and the QEII Hospital. In is spare time, he enjoys a variety of activities including tinkering with tech, playing piano, and running. Dan hopes to continue conducting research in the future and will be attending the Dal Med Class of 2022.
